Dhorpatan

Dhorpatan is a high-altitude valley and municipality located in the Baglung District of Gandaki Province, Nepal. It is globally renowned as the headquarters of the Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve, which is the only legalized hunting reserve in Nepal. Situated at an elevation of roughly 2,900 to 3,000 meters just south of the majestic Dhaulagiri mountain range, Dhorpatan is characterized by its sprawling alpine meadows (patans), rich biodiversity, and distinct cultural mix of indigenous Kham Magar people and Tibetan refugees.
